Dean Ambrose has already made his decision to quit WWE public but all it seems like Roman Reigns is on the task to make him stay in the company.
Weeks after Dean Ambrose had turned down a lucrative 5-year-contract with the WWE, reports have emerged over a possible U-turn in his decision, all thanks to former World Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns. WWE superstars have been ditching the company to sign for the All-Elite Wrestling and while it looked like Ambrose might follow the same path, there’s a belief that things could still change.
Unhappy with his role in the WWE, the former Shield member had decided not to put pen to paper and rather assess his options outside. Even the company announced Ambrose’ decision to quit by issuing a statement confirming the same.
As per WrestlingNews.co, however, the updated live event schedule is a hint that the management is still expecting Ambrose to stay. When a question about Ambrose’s future was raised in front of Reigns during a recent autograph session, he said: “We’re gonna work on that”.
It has also been understood that some of the reasons behind Reigns unwilling to sign a new contract were his unhappiness with the creative as well as the company’s decision to incorporate Reigns’ leukaemia into his heel promos.
With a Shield reunion in the storyline for WWE Fastlane, it’s clear that the company’s hopes aren’t entirely buried as far as Ambrose is concerned.
As far as the immediate future of Reigns is concerned, he has been busy shooting for the forthcoming events after announcing his remission from cancer. A big match-up at the Wrestlemania 35 is also on the cards for the fan favourite whose return is expected to give a much-needed boost to WWE’s viewership.
