Election Update: Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav Address Joint Press Conference In Ghaziabad

Election Update: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav addressed a joint press conference in Ghaziabad today.

While talking to the media, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that this is an election of ideology. I.N.D.I. Alliance is committed to protecting the Constitution and democracy.

Unemployment, inflation and participation in parliamentary elections are among the major issues of the alliance. He claimed to form the Coalition government after the Lok Sabha elections and said that the coalition government aims to provide one lakh rupees to poor women and maximum employment opportunities to the unemployed.

He said that MSP will be implemented to benefit the farmers and a law will be made to end the problem of paper leakage.

Mr. Gandhi said that caste census is necessary for the development of the society.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said that this election will give a new direction to the country’s politics. He appealed to the people not to divide their votes.

Notification For Fourth Phase To Be Issued Tomorrow

The notification for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections will be issued tomorrow. 96 Lok Sabha seats spread over nine States and a Union Territory will go to polls in this phase on the 13th of May.
Simultaneously, notification will also be issued for single-phase assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh for 175 seats and the first phase of assembly polls in Odisha for 28 constituencies.
The filing of nominations will end on Friday for the third phase of Lok Sabha polls. 94 Parliamentary seats in 10 States and two Union Territories will go to polls in this phase on the 7th of May.
