India Clinch 3-Match T20 Series Victory Against Bangladesh

In men’s cricket, India secured an emphatic 86-run victory over Bangladesh in the second T20 International, clinching the three-match series 2-0 with one game remaining at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi, yesterday. This win marks India’s largest margin of victory by runs against Bangladesh in T20I history, surpassing their previous 50-run win during the recent T20 World Cup.

Chasing a target of 222 runs, Bangladesh managed to score 135 for 9 wickets in 20 overs. Mahmudullah was the top scorer for Bangladesh with 41 runs. India’s bowling attack was led by Nitish Reddy and Varun Chakaravarthy, who took two wickets each. Arshdeep Singh, Washington Sundar, Abhishek Sharma, Mayank Yadav, and Riyan Parag each claimed one wicket.

Nitish Reddy was named Player of the Match for his outstanding all-round performance. Earlier, after being sent in to bat, India posted 221 runs for 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Reddy top-scored with 74 runs, while Rinku Singh contributed 53. Bangladesh’s Rishad Hossain took three wickets.

The third and final T20 International between India and Bangladesh will be held in Hyderabad on Saturday.
