India Secures Victory Over South Africa by 61 Runs
In cricket, India triumphed over South Africa by 61 runs in the first T20 International of a four-match series held at Kingsmead Cricket Stadium in Durban last night.
Batting first, India set an impressive target, scoring 202 runs for eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Sanju Samson stole the show with a blistering 107 off just 50 balls, while Varun Chakaravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi each claimed three wickets for India.
Heinrich Klaasen was South Africa’s top scorer with 25 runs. Chasing 203, South Africa was bowled out for 141 in 17.5 overs.
Sanju Samson earned the Player of the Match award for his brilliant second T20I century. The second T20 International will be held tomorrow at St George’s Park in Gqeberha.
