India took the series lead by winning the first match, but New Zealand came back strong in the second, securing a 76-run victory to level the series before the final showdown.
Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma has achieved a career-best ranking of No. 2 among Women’s ODI bowlers, as per the latest ICC rankings update. Deepti’s impressive performance, with three wickets in the first two matches against New Zealand, propelled her up two spots to second place, bringing her closer to England’s Sophie Ecclestone, the current No. 1.
Deepti also claimed three wickets in the series’ final match and made a vital contribution in the first game, scoring 41 runs and taking one wicket for 35 runs. This all-round excellence has moved her up to fourth place in the all-rounder rankings.
