IPL 2025 Auction in Jeddah: Dates and Details Revealed

IPL 2025 – The 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction is set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25 at the Abady Al Johar Arena (Benchmark Arena). This marks the second consecutive year the IPL auction will be held abroad, following its 2024 event in Dubai.

Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, hailed the occasion as a milestone for Saudi-India relations. He noted that hosting the IPL auction in Jeddah underscores Saudi Arabia’s growth as a global hub for sports and entertainment, while also fostering the development of cricket within the Kingdom.

A total of 1,574 players have registered by the November 4 deadline, including 1,165 Indian and 409 international cricketers. The player pool features representatives from emerging cricket nations like Italy, Canada, Netherlands, Scotland, USA, and UAE, along with players from Full Member countries, with Pakistan as the only exception. After the retention phase, franchises will have 204 slots to fill, with the opportunity to assemble squads of up to 25 players each.
