The Indian Women’s Cricket Team has arrived in Colombo for the Asia Cup T20 Tournament.

The Indian Women’s Cricket Team landed in Colombo yesterday to take part in the Asia Cup T20 tournament, scheduled to begin from Friday in Dambulla, Sri Lanka.

Harmanpreet Kaur led women in blue will kick off their campaign against arch-rival Pakistan on the opening day. In the group A of the tournament, India are along with Pakistan, United Arab Emirates and Nepal. The host Sri Lanka is in Group B along with Malaysia, Thailand, and Bangladesh.

The defending champions India will look to lift the trophy again as they have won all the editions except the one in 2018, where they lost to Bangladesh in the finals.

India’s Paris Olympics Contingent Finalized: 117 Athletes, 140 Support Staff Ready

India’s final contingent for the upcoming Paris Olympics has been approved by the sports ministry. The contingent will have  117 athletes accompanied by 140 support staff and officials. The games will begin from 26th of this month to 11th of next month.

Athletics will make for the biggest group in the contingent with 29 names followed by shooting 21 and hockey 19. Table tennis will be represented by eight players while Badminton will feature seven competitors, including two-time Olympic medallist P. V. Sindhu.

Wrestling, Archery and Boxing will have six representatives each, followed by Golf four and Tennis three. Two each in Swimming and Sailing and one each for Equestrian, Judo, Rowing and Weightlifting is part of the contingent.
