Ishita Kishore, a resident of Greater Noida, achieved a milesone in her life by securing the 1st rank in the UPSC 2022 examination in the country.
The commission recommended a total of 933 candidates for appointment in the Civil Services Examination 2022. Ishita Kishore, bearing Roll No. 5809986, holds the 1st position in the selected candidates’ list.
Ishita pursued her undergraduate studies in Economics at Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. During her graduation, she opted for Political Science and International Relations as her optional subjects. Following her academic pursuits, Ishita worked as a financial advisor in a multinational company. However, her ambition to join the Indian Administrative Service propelled her towards the Civil Services Examination, leading her to prepare for the UPSC exams. This achievement marks her success in the third attempt at the Civil Services Examination, having previously been unable to qualify for the prelims in her first two attempts.
Ishita Kishore is the daughter of a former Air Force officer and worked for the multinational company Ernst and Young. She is the younger of two siblings and her elder brother is a lawyer, while her mom is a teacher at a private school.
In order to prepare for the exam, Ishita Kishore stated that “I used to study for at least eight to nine hours per day. I would work toward women’s empowerment after becoming an IAS officer and getting the first rank in the civil services examination was like a dream come true for her”.
