2025 Golden Globe Nominations: Wicked, The Bear, Shōgun

On Monday, Dec. 9, Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut announced the nominees for the 82nd annual Golden Globes, unveiling a diverse slate of talent across film and television.

Leading the film category is Emilia Pérez, which garnered 10 nominations, including nods for its stars Karla Sofía Gascón, Zoe Saldaña, and Selena Gomez. On the TV side, The Bear emerged as the frontrunner with five nominations, while Shōgun and Only Murders in the Building followed closely with four nominations each.

Comedian Nikki Glaser will host the ceremony, set to air live on Sunday, Jan. 5, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.

“The Golden Globes is not only a huge night for TV and film, but also for comedy,” Glaser shared in an earlier statement. “It’s one of the few times that show business not only allows but encourages itself to be lovingly mocked (at least I hope so). (God, I hope so).”

The night promises to be a celebration of cinematic and television excellence, filled with excitement, humor, and recognition of outstanding artistry.
