Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announced today that the there will be a lockdown till 17th May at 5AM. This decision has been taken as the number of cases of coronavirus are still increasing. However there were 17,364 new Covid cases were recorded on 8th May2021 with 23.34 % positivity rate. Kejriwal also emphasized that the positivity rate has reduced from 35% to 23% due to lockdown.
Kejriwal also informed that there will be no metro service during this period.
