Election Updates: Top Leaders Hold Multiple Rallies Braving The Weather In Poll-Bound States
Election Updates: In Uttar Pradesh, star campaigners of all political parties campaigned in the state to woo the voters.
Senior BJP leader and Union Minister, Amit Shah had a hectic day in state with four rallies and a roadshow. Addressing his first rally in Maharajganj, Mr. Shah claimed that BJP will get more than 300 seats in just five phases of elections and sixth and seventh phases will give the party more than 400 seats.
Addressing another rally in Deoriya, Mr. Shah said that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is also an integral part of India. He said that no terrorist today dare to do anything in country because they know that there is Modi government in centre. Later, he addressed rallies in Ballia and Sonbhadra also. In the evening Amit Shah held a road show in Ghazipur.
Senior BJP Leader and Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath today addressed a political rally in Kushinagar and said that only BJP is capable in safeguarding the borders of the country.
He later campaigned in Deoriya and held a mega road show in Gorakhpur.
Leader of Rashtriya Shoshit Samaj Party and former minister, Swami Prasad Maurya also campaigned in Kushinagar. He is contesting from the seat on the symbol of his newly formed party.
On the other hand, Samajwadi Party Chief, Akhilesh Yadav campaigned for Party candidate in Dudhi assembly constituency where bypolls will be held in the final phase of elections. He also addressed rallies in Robertsganj and Mirzapur Loksabha constituencies, where attacking on BJP, he said that BJP has befooled the youth of the country and if INDI Alliance comes to power then Agniveer scheme will be taken back.
Dimple Yadav, wife of Akhilesh Yadav also held a road show in Kushinagar today.
In Himachal,Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi addressed a public meeting in Kullu, part of the Mandi parliamentary constituency, today. She said that during the past rainy season, the Mandi Lok Sabha area suffered extensive damage due to a severe disaster.
The state Congress government made substantial efforts for disaster relief, but no special help was provided by the central government. She mentioned that before the assembly elections in Himachal, the Congress prominently raised the issue of OPS (Old Pension Scheme) for employees and fulfilled its guarantee by restoring OPS as soon as it came to power.
Similarly, the promise to provide Rs 1500 monthly to women has also been fulfilled. Priyanka Gandhi stated that the Congress delivers on its promises. She added that the central BJP government has failed to control inflation and unemployment. She also described the Agniveer scheme as a betrayal of the youth.
On the other hand, Senior BJP Leader and Union, Minister Nitin Gadkari addressed an election rally in favour of BJP candidates in the Kutlehar assembly of the Hamirpur parliamentary constituency.
He said that this election is not about deciding the future of Congress or BJP, but about deciding the future of the public. He claimed that the Congress party failed to eliminate poverty during its 60 years of rule. Gadkari stated that the BJP has connected every village with roads.
He mentioned that the construction of the Lathiani-Mandli bridge in Kutlehar, worth 900 crores, is also an achievement of the BJP. He said that BJP aims to further develop Himachal from a tourism perspective. Gadkari asserted that only BJP can make the country a global leader.
