It will be a real pleasure for women in Delhi for travelling in Delhi Metro and DTC busses as Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announced that women can have free travel on public transports like metro and DTC buses soon.
The officers have been given a week’s time to prepare a detailed report. On the basis of the report, a proposal will be brought in the cabinet.
However, Kejriwal also mentioned that the women who can afford the tickets will be allowed to buy tickets. Those who can afford it, can buy tickets and forgo subsidy so others could benefit, Kejriwal explained.
