Commending Brazil’s Leadership:

PM Modi praised Brazil for advancing “people-centric decisions” initiated during India’s G-20 presidency. He reaffirmed the importance of India’s G-20 theme, “One Earth, One Family, One Future,” as a guiding principle for global collaboration.

Global Alliance Against Poverty:

The summit marked the launch of a global alliance to combat hunger and poverty, supported by 80 nations. PM Modi described the initiative as “commendable” and pledged India’s full support for food security and social upliftment efforts.

PM Modi reiterated the need for reforms in international governance to amplify the voices of the Global South. He cited India’s successful push for the African Union’s inclusion in the G-20 as a significant step toward equitable representation.
