Weather Forecast: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh during the next five days. It said, heavy to very heavy rainfall is also likely over Konkan and Goa and Madhya Maharashtra during the period. IMD has also forecast a fresh spell of heavy to very heavy rainfall over south Peninsular India from Sunday.
The weather office said conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into the remaining parts of the country, parts of Rajasthan and Haryana, and Punjab during next two days.
· Normal to above normal rainfall is most likely over most parts of central India and adjoining south Peninsular and east India and some areas of Northeast and Northwest India.
