Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference President, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, strongly criticized Pakistan for orchestrating terror attacks in the union territory.
Speaking to the media in Srinagar yesterday, following the tragic killing of seven civilians by terrorists in Gagangir, Sonamarg, Ganderbal district, Dr. Abdullah emphasized that Islamabad must halt these acts of terror if it seeks friendly relations with India. He made it clear that there can be no dialogue between New Delhi and Islamabad until Pakistan stops the violence in Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr. Abdullah expressed sorrow over the Gagangir attack, calling it a painful incident that claimed the lives of poor workers who had come to Kashmir to earn a living. He urged Pakistan to allow the people of Kashmir to live peacefully and with dignity, and to focus on their own country’s development.
