Haryana Assembly Elections: 61% Voter Turnout Report

A voter turnout of 61.19 percent was recorded in today’s Haryana Assembly elections, held in a single phase for the 90-member State Assembly.

The polling process remained largely peaceful, with voters from all sections of society actively participating. Notably, many elderly voters, including those over 100 years old, were seen casting their votes with enthusiasm.

For the first time, a home voting facility was introduced for voters above 85 years of age and Persons with Disabilities, making it easier for them to participate in the election process.

The political fate of 1,031 candidates is now sealed in the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), with the results set to be declared on October 8th.
