It is really a piece of good news for Indian cricket fans, the Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to return to India. IPL 2021 will be played in India and is likely to get started from April 09 to May 30.
Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, and Bengaluru will be hosting the 52-day tournament which will have 60 matches overall.
The tournament was conducted in the UAE last year due to the coronavirus pandemic and was played across three venues – Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai. Mumbai Indians was the winner of the 13th edition of IPL.
There will be a total of 11 double headers where 6 teams will play three afternoon matches & two teams will play two afternoon matches. The afternoon games are slated for a 3:30 PM IST start while the evening games will have a 7:30 PM IST start.
