Sobhita Dhulipala, who has been in the spotlight following her engagement to Naga Chaitanya, recently opened up about why the event was kept simple. The renowned actress shared her thoughts on marriage for the first time since their engagement in August. Sobhita expressed how she has always believed in the institution of marriage and envisioned herself walking down that path.
During the promotional tour for her film Love Sitara, the Made in Heaven star spoke openly with Galatta India. Reflecting on her engagement to Naga Chaitanya, she said, “I didn’t approach the day with a lot of expectations or dreams. I was present in the moment—it was relaxed, simple, sweet, intimate, and warm. It was exactly how I imagined it would be.”
Sobhita also shared her love for the vibrant energy that ceremonies like weddings and engagements bring, emphasizing how they celebrate heritage and tradition. She has always envisioned herself getting married and embracing the experience of motherhood.
Speaking about her ideal vision of marriage while growing up, Sobhita said, “I always wanted the essence of ‘Teluguness’ to be a part of moments like my wedding because I’m deeply connected to my roots and close to my parents. The traditional aspect is something I’ve always fantasized about.”
For those unfamiliar, Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya got engaged on August 8 in a private ceremony with their closest friends and family. Naga Chaitanya’s father, legendary actor Nagarjuna, announced the joyous news on social media.
It’s worth mentioning that Naga Chaitanya was previously married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. After dating for some time, the couple tied the knot but eventually announced their separation in 2021. In a joint statement, they requested privacy as they navigated the next chapter of their lives. Despite their wishes, the actors faced ongoing public scrutiny following their decision.
